WHO ARE WE?
General
Kingdom Life Assembly is located in the close knitted community of Inch Marlow which is in the South Eastern part of the Island. It is in close proximity to our International Airport as well as many of the well known kayaking and surfing apartments and hotels. It is easily accessible by public transportation.
Over the years the church has had various names e.g. Inch Marlow Pentecostal, Walls Pentecostal and up to more recently South Pentecostal Assembly. In 1996 the name was again changed to the Kingdom Life Assembly. Kingdom Life Assembly is a member church of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies.
Pastor Selwyn Brathwaite entered into full time ministry in 1992 after completing 2 ½ years of theological studies at The West Indies School of Theology which is located in the island of Trinidad and Tobago. While attending this institution he completed his internship at the Woodbrook Assembly under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Turnel Nelson. Dr. Nelson exposed him to the teachings of the Kingdom which he readily embraced and now passionately imparts.
Pastor Brathwaite is a dynamic teacher of the word with a unique ability to bring to life and add fresh dimensions to even the most familiar passages of Scripture. The prophetic edge with which he teaches carries within it a message of hope and a passion to see the kingdom of God manifested in the earth through believers who are willing to develop their spiritual gifts and natural abilities. He is married to Bronwen a gifted children’s minister, worship leader and writer who co pastors with him in the ministry, they have two daughters Sharisah and Shamara.
Kingdom Life Assembly is a Christian body of people established by God to assist its membership in building godly character and to live lives of value by discovering, defining and developing their natural talents and spiritual gifts so empowering them to become effective in seeing the kingdom of God established, their God given purpose accomplished, their sphere of influence impacted and their destiny fulfilled.
Kingdom Life Assembly exists to be a biblically based empowerment center providing opportunity through its message, ministry and activities to assist individuals in becoming effective citizens of God’s kingdom.
Each member is ordained to be a minister of God within their given capacity and has been endowed with both spiritual and natural abilities to be developed and used for the advancement of God’s kingdom here on earth.
Kingdom Life Assembly is an agent of God in the earth primarily designed to assist in the global mandate of discipling the nations of the earth and to see individuals come into their God given purpose and destiny.
EACH MEMBER A MINISTER
Strenghts
The outward strengths of the Kingdom Life Assembly are; its emphasis on worship, sound insightful teaching from the Scripture, and a strong deliverance ministry.
Core Values
Kingdom Life Assembly believes that core values are essential to the lasting development of any entity that will leave an indelible impact on this planet. Listed below are the inherent qualities we seek to see displayed by members of the body and without fail from those who are a part of the Kingdom Life Assembly’s Leadership.
Humility
Arrogance and pride have always been the downfall of many powerful institutions. We therefore believe that all service unto God must be done in humility if the Kingdom is going to be established.
Purity
One of the foundational requirements of any believer who endeavors to be involved in the business of the kingdom is that they should abstain from all defilement of spirit, manner and actions.
Integrity
It is our belief that kingdom people must be honest in their day to day dealings if they are indeed going to be the ‘salt’ of the earth and ‘light’ of the world.
Loyalty
We believe that if this institution is going to be a formidable one, members must have unswerving allegiance to God ultimately but also to the ministry, the vision and activities of the local assembly.
Respect
We believe that each member must show respect for authority and each other, treating each other with a sense of dignity
